This is just a bus-stop somewhere along the eternal continuum called MOVIO;
  the 70´s the 80´s the 90´s the 00´s

In the beginning was Martin Landahl and Jonas Himmelstrand. They were the founding fathers of Movio (a.k.a. Kalla Kåren). Martin soon recruited his younger brother Jonas. He´s that blond toddler playing sax (!) on the photo to the left. Martin had met Kristjan when he was practicing with the school´s upright bass so he was invited. Kristjan´s best friend at that time, Peter Fors, played altosaxophone and flute. Being an avant-garde-jazz-fan he just had to come along.

During the first trembling years in the 70´s the musicians often changed instruments with each other. It was a great way to learn how to interact. Kristjan had a cello. It was played by everyone. Occasionally MOVIO invited other musicians to join in. Like when the two fiddlers Ulf Lindblom and Olle Andersson (pictured below) helped us through our folk-music period.

There where lots of gigs between 1972-79. Mainly in student surroundings, but also on some outddoors festivals, and one time even in the famous jazz-club Fashing in Stockholm. Peters old Volvo Duett was our touring van. We could fit all of our equipement into it, if some of the members used their bicycles. The was no end to our enthusiasm. It surely surpassed our technical skills. But there was a world to change...and Martins tunes were great. So was the jamming. Music was our drug par preference.

In the middle of the 70´s Peter left for Gothenburg. He was soon replaced by Bengt Forssman, that Kristjan had met at university. Luckily Bengt played altosaxophone, too. And he liked jazz.

Then came
the 80´s when familys were formed...please proceed to the 80´s!
